Send off to Jàel

Jael George Mathew a very dear, active and integral part of our KCYM family has moved abroad to Germany to pursue her Masters in Physics  from the very prestigious Heidelberg University. We have all come to know her over these past years and she has become a very dear friend to us all. Her infectious smile bubbly nature and energetic attitude are traits that stand out and has had an impression on us all.

She started off her KCYM career in our Shadow Drama, wherein she excelled in her roles as the Devil, as Veronica and as Virgin Mary.. quiet the start and quiet a contrast of roles too. A keen environmentalist, she was our go to person for delivering World environment day messages to the Parish folk. A person never to shy away from the limelight, one could see her dancing, singing and enjoying herself to the fullest during celebratory occasions and trips. Prayer was her forte and was an everpresent and leader in our prayers and Holy Eucharist Adorations conducted. An active member of the Jesus Youth community at the campus level, she strived to plant the seeds of faith all around her and in her own sisters words...She strived to give Jesus wherever she went.
Not to forget her trademark....Her black curly hair...That earned her a fond nickname amongst us friends.
Her evolution over these past years....From being a silent girl driving around in her BSA Electric Bike to being the Vice President, whizzing around in a 110cc Hero scooter...Feels like it just happened yesterday.

Some birds just aren't meant to be caged and you most certainly are not. You are not destined for the cage, but to fly high and explore the world....And it has happened and she has flown, quiet literally... To Germany!
The course and syllabus may be a bit tougher and the environment and people around you too, but all of us fully believe that you are more than capable to handle it. And with the almighty God with you, by your side, who can be against you. Put your mind to it, work hard and everything will be alright.

All of us are sure to miss you. You were an everpresent with us. But as you move on to script a new chapter for yourself in your life, you leave with is a number of wonderful memories for us to hold on to. You would always be in our hearts and prayers.

Change in an everpresent and for certain. Your time in Germany would surely bring about a change in you. But let the traits of humility, helpfulness, your steely resolve and determination and child like innocence, that you have in abundance stay with you forever.

Let the almighty bless you and keep you safe. Take care and best wishes dear..
