KCYM - Catechism Anniversary. 24th July 2011, Sunday

The 12th joint anniversary celebrations of KCYM & the Catechism department of St.George Church Chakkarapararmbu was held on Sunday, the 24th of July 2011. The day started off with the holy mass at 5pm which was led by Father Thomas Mangattu, who is the Director of KCYM for the Archdiocese of Ernakulam - Angamaly. The holy mass was followed by the Anniversary meeting. Our Vicar Farther Paul Kottackal was the Guest of honour for the meeting. Father Thomas Mangattu , President of KCYM for the Archdiocese of Ernakulam - Angamaly, Shri. Shijo Mathew Karumathy, Father Shiju Aathapilly, Central Committee Vice Chairman Shri. George Theroorparambil and Family Unit Animator Shri. James Abraham were all welcomed on to the stage. The meeting began by seeking the blessings of the almighty. KCYM President Shri. Shibin George welcomed everyone to the anniversary meeting. The annual activity reports of both the Catechism Department as well as of KCYM were read out by the respective secretaries and passed. Father Thomas Mangattu inaugurated the programs by lighting the lamp, which was then followed by his inaugural address. Shri Shijo Mathew Karumathy unveiled the UNEP Certificate, which KCYM had received for its activities on World environment day. Felicitations were offered by Shri. Shijo, Shri. James Abraham, Shri. George Theroorparambil and Father Shiju Aathapilly. Fr. Shiju then distributed the awards for the students for the various programs as well as for their academic excellence in catechism studies. Catechism Headmaster Shri. Job Theroorparambil delivered the vote of thanks. A long line of superb programs were showcased on stage by the catechism students and our KCYM members. Most notably the "Mime" which was performed by 10 of the KCYM members won a lot of appreciation among the audience. Special mention has to be made of KCYM members Nirmal Thomas and Thomson George who took the initiative to direct and teach the Mime. The Rangapooja  done by the ladies of KCYM Chakkaraparambu unit too won a lot of admirers. Miss Vinny Vincent was the main orchestrator for the program and deserves special credit for the success of it. Special thanks and mention to all the others who performed during the function, especially Sanjith Varghese, Miss Roopa Thomas & party, Miss Shilpa Manoj, Master Chris, Master Allen and all the kids who were a part of the skit as well! Thank you all! With your whole hearted support and dedication, the function would not have been SO COLOURFUL! The KCYM members under the able leadership of President Shri. Shibin George and Secretary Mahesh Mathew had toiled hard all month to make this anniversary happen in the best possible manner. We can most confidently say that this years Anniversary was undoubtedly a grant success!! A BIG THANK YOU to all our KCYM members who worked to their fullest to make this function a success!!!!!!!!!! Last but definitely  not the least lets all thank GOD without who's blessings this would never have been a reality!
